A Night at the Theatre - Christmas activity
A night at the theatre is usually regarded as a special treat and the theatre companies usually try to put on something light and with broad appeal at this time of year. Christmas season 2007 offers some interesting options. These can be combined with canapes, pre show drinks, or a meal afterwards - there are lots of options so just give us an idea of what you want to achieve and we will come up with a proposal to wow your clients or staff this Christmas season.
Here is a brief description of what is on, and the dates in the main centres:
Auckland 2009: "Jesus Christ Super Star" at Sky City (30 October 2014- 23 November 2014)
Oliver! comes to the SKYCITY Theatre, starring Mark Hadlow as Fagin, in a dazzling new production. This much-loved musical vividly brings to life Dickens’ timeless characters with its ever-popular story of the boy who asked for more. The sensational sing-along show is full of Lionel Bart’s irresistible songs including Food Glorious Food, Consider Yourself, You’ve Got to Pick a Pocket or Two, I’d Do Anything, Oom Pah Pah, As Long As He Needs Me and many more. A perfect Christmas treat for the whole family. Be the first to get your tickets – so that you won’t have to pick a pocket or two to get in.

Price for theatre only is $144.00 plus GST for two people. We can incorporate a meal at Skycity or in Auckland CBD to suit your requirements and budget..
Wellington: "Mother Goose – The Pantomime" (16 November 2014 – 22 December 2014)
Look out behind you! Get into the spirit of the season and join the fun at Circa’s annual Christmas pantomime! In a bygone era, long before the days of public transport, brave young Dick (and his Cat!) make their way to Wellington. There he works for a rich merchant – and falls in love with the merchant’s daughter. But, just when the path of true love is running smoothly, Dick (and his Cat!) are sent away on a sailing ship to make the merchant’s fortune… And no matter where he travels, Dick cannot shake off his pantomime Dame mother – a “poor lonely widow woman”. Ohhhhhhhhh!
