Vineyard Tour - staff event nzWe offer this event the following locations: Hawkes Bay is the oldest established wine-growing region in New Zealand. The first grapes were introduced into the region as far back as 1851 by Marist priests, who originally came from Lyon in France. Walk amongst the vines and learn about Terroir. A " terroir " is a group of vineyards (or even vines) from the same region, belonging to a specific designated area, and sharing the same type of soil, weather conditions, grapes and wine making style, which contribute to give a specific personality to the wine. New Zealand's wine regions have a wide range of Terroir ranging from the warmer north to the cooler south.
