White Water Rafting Client Event NZ

A rafting client event will have wide appeal to your clients, particularly the more adventurous among them, but you need to take account of the days that trips operate and travel times when planning a client rafting activity.This activity is suitable for a wide range of group sizes and could be tied in as a conference activity for a central North Island conference held in Rotorua or Taupo.

Rafting rivers are graded on a scale of 1 - 5 with 5 being the most challenging and a 2 or 3 being a good starting point for first timers or those who wish to build confidence.

Wairoa River (Matamata/Tauranga) Grade 5
This is New Zealand's most serious raftable river closest to Auckland, and one of the most popular. The stunning tree lined gorges, turbulent rapids and breathtaking drops add up to whitewater action. Just over two hours drive away from Auckland, between Matamata and Tauranga on State Highway 29, the Wairoa river is Hydro controlled and only runs 26 days a year. Bear in mind when planning a rafting event on the Wairoa that the river is generally only available on Sundays - roughly two per month.

Rangitaiki River (Murupara) Grade 3 - 4 - Scenic Option Available
Fun, scenic and exhilarating with major torrents of whitewater and spectacular scenery. This rafting trip is ideal to get the hang of it before hurling yourself into the fast action of the Wairoa or Kaituna.

Kaituna River (Rotorua) Grade 5
This gift offers New Zealand's latest rafting sensation and reputedly the highest commercially rafted waterfall in the world. This is a gift experience fast enough and furious enough to ensure that the adrenalin keeps on pumping right through the foam, and over the heart stopping 7 metre waterfall. Definitely not for the faint hearted - try it if you dare! The Kaituna River will delight you with its deep bush covered gorges and roaring crashing rapids.

Rangitikei River (Taihape) Grade 2 - 5
River Valley near Taihape has the most awesome Grade 5 raft trip. The Rangitikei River features over 10 major rapids, 2-3 hours of scenic rafting, stunning scenery, rock 'n rolling on the river. The Rangitikei River will delight you with its deep bush covered gorges and roaring crashing rapids.

Shotover River (Queenstown) Grade 3 - 5
The Shotover offers the challenge of excitement and thrills - grade three to five rapids and guaranteed to excite. It provides the perfect rollicking ride for people wanting to test their thresh hold for excitement – coming in wave after wave. The Shotover River definitely delivers an undulating white water challenge with persistent paddling, white foam and roaring rapids.
