Waiheke Wine and Olives Tour - Christmas event

This is a relaxing Christmas event that will have broad appeal to both clients and staff. Timing is flexible and the activity can accommodate a wide range of group sizes.

This tour enables you and your clients to soak up the delights of Waiheke, the magical island paradise.

Relax and enjoy a 35 minute ferry ride from Auckland, departing at a time to suit. Waiheke is rapidly becoming a world class producer of Bordeaux-style wines. On joining this tour you will enjoy a commentated scenic highlights tour of the Island and visit up to three highly acclaimed vineyards for wine tasting and an explanation of wine producing techniques used in the vineyards.

The tour can include a stop at Onetangi, where you can stroll along the beach or buy a light lunch at Onetangi Yacht Club, or we can include a lunch at one of Waiheke's fabulous restaurants in the itinerary.

Unspoiled beaches surround the island while inland are pockets of native bush, farmland and of course vineyards. Waiheke is the home of many of New Zealand’s notable artists, craftsmen and writers, so a stroll through the shops and markets of Oneroa Village is well worth while, or alternatively, sit down and relax at one of the bars or cafes basking in the tranquility of this charming place.

A visit to an olive farm and press plus olive oil tasting can also feature in the itinerary if you wish, as Waiheke is growing in stature as a producer of fine olive oils.

Price will vary depending on itinerary and meal requirements. The tour could end with a Christmas dinner at one of the many fabulous restaurants on the island or return to Auckland for a meal in the city. Please contact us for a quote.
